Interaction design evokes a new, more holistic and human-centered approach to design. Interaction designers examine user interfaces and their use. Giving contemporary dimensions to this interaction design buzz in the industry, the Hexo research team is focused on Human Computer Interaction (HCI). We have a strong interest in collaborative settings, exploring the design and use of modernistic interactive and communicative systems to support human activities. We are looking at developing efficient and stylish interactions between people, between people and information, and between people and their technologies.

Our research activities span an extensive lineup, from the design and evaluation of new media installations and interfaces to field studies of technology used in varied settings. We investigate how people manipulate and interact with computers and information, how individuals and teams use computers to control systems and processes, and how products should be designed and built to support the nature of such work.
